He specializes in the recruitment of senior-level financial executives including: chief financial officer, corporate controller, corporate development, treasury, tax and investor relations positions across a variety of industries. He also conducts board of director searches for audit committee members.
Prior to joining KarrScheffel, Scott led the west coast financial officers practice at an international search firm. Previously, Scott was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at NeoMagic Corporation, a publicly-traded multimedia semiconductor company. Before joining NeoMagic, Scott was Director of Finance at ON Semiconductor, a publicly-traded semiconductor company. Additionally, he spent seven years in investment banking and served as Vice President of Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. Scott began his career at Price Waterhouse where he earned his CPA license. He also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee for Medistem, a biotech company, from 2007 to 2009.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Scott has a bachelor's degree in economics and business from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated cum laude. Scott earned his master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University and holds a CPA (inactive) license in California.
